Sales Lead - Australia

Mission

We areseekinga seasoned and passionate Regional Sales Lead to build and lead our sales efforts in Australia. This is a strategic market forEnerVenueand this role will be a majormarketpriorityforthecompany’sgrowthplans. Youwillbethearchitectofour Sales strategy and go to market campaign in Australiaas we grow our team and market share.You willbe responsible foridentifyingand evaluating new business opportunities,developingand executing strategies to expand the company’s market presence,establishand maintainingstrong-partnershipsand relationships with key stakeholders.As the first salesresourceyou willbe responsible foridentifyingopportunities, running the sales cycle, negotiating contracts,identifyingpartnership opportunities,participatinginconferencesand closing deals.Serving customers, deploying ourtechnologyand scaling the business only happens with experienced sales and development professionals.

  • Build the Sales Pipeline:Identifyand qualifynew salesopportunities through outboundprospecting,inboundleadfollow-up,andnetworking.Managingweekly reports and documentationinSalesforce.com.
  • Customer focus:Develop andmaintainstrong relationships with clients and key stakeholderstounderstandtheirbusinessandtheirneedforEnerVenue’sofferings.
  • ExecuteonSalesStrategy:ExecutingongotomarketSalesStrategywithdiscipline,focusand collaboration with customers.

Requirements

Likely spent the first years at a world-renowned company that is in the clean energy ecosystem (e.g., Independent Power Producer, Integrator, EPC,developeror utility at Australiancompany).Theythenspentthenext5yearsatastart-updevelopingrenewable energy, energystorageor other clean energy technologies with customers that include utilities, commercial and industrial accounts.

  • Bachelor’sdegree(BA/BS)inBusiness,Engineeringorrelated disciplineisrequired. AMaster’sinBusinessAdministrationoradditionaltechnicalcredentials isstronglydesired.
  • ExpertiseinAustralianelectricitymarketsisrequired;applicantsshouldhave5years ofdemonstratedcustomer-facing sales experience in these markets.
  • 5+yearsofprogressiveexperienceinSaleswithdemonstratedtrackrecordof closing complex sales cycles, in an early-stage company is desired.Experience managing P&L and working to achieve ambitious goals is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in the electric industry – such as renewables, battery, energy storage,automotive,oraerospaceindustries –whereproductfailureisnotanoption and product lifecycles are measured in decades.
