Job Description

We’re looking for a commercially minded and detail-focused Analyst to join our team in a role where your insights and analysis will directly influence operational and financial performance.  This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and identifying opportunities for improvement.

What you’ll be doing:

In this varied role, you’ll provide analytical and operational support with a strong focus on cost visibility, reporting accuracy, and continuous improvement.  Some of your responsibilities will include:

Cost Control & Financial Management

  • Analysing and reconciling supplier invoices and cost recharges
  • Ensuring costs align with contracted rates and categories
  • Identifying cost discrepancies and variances
  • Supporting accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Monitoring spending trends and helping identify cost optimisation opportunities

Reporting & Financial Insights

  • Supporting monthly P&L reporting and variance analysis
  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting cycles
  • Tracking key cost drivers and financial trends
  • Providing insights into performance risks and opportunities

Data & Performance Reporting

  • Maintaining accurate cost and operational data
  • Producing regular KPI and cost reports
  • Assisting with dashboards and reporting tools
  • Supporting data standardisation and process documentation

Continuous Improvement

  • Identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies
  • Supporting automation and process improvement initiatives
  • Delivering actionable insights that help improve business performance

Qualifications

Here’s what you’ll bring to the table:

We’re looking for someone who is curious, proactive, and eager to contribute to a collaborative team environment.  Ideally, you will bring:

  • 1–3 years’ experience in an analytical, finance, or operations-based role
  • A degree or diploma in business, finance, or related field (preferred, but not essential)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate Excel skills, with Power BI experience highly regarded
  • A sound understanding of financial reporting and cost structures
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • The ability to communicate confidently with a range of stakeholders
