Position Type: Full-Time, Remote

Location: Latin America (Remote)

Working Hours: U.S. Business Hours (EST)

Compensation: $1,500–$2,000 USD/month

About the Role

At Pavago, we’re hiring on behalf of one of our clients for a Bookkeeper to support the financial operations of a growing property management company.

This is a hands-on bookkeeping role where you’ll be responsible for:

  • Bank reconciliations
  • Property management accounting
  • Accounts payable
  • Financial reporting
  • QuickBooks Online & Buildium management

You’ll work closely with the property management team to ensure accurate financial records, timely reporting, and efficient accounting operations across multiple properties and business entities.

What You’ll Own

Bank Reconciliations & Financial Accuracy

  • Reconcile multiple bank accounts across various properties using Buildium.
  • Review financial records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies and outstanding items.
  • Maintain audit-ready financial documentation.

Bookkeeping & Accounting

  • Maintain multiple QuickBooks Online company files.
  • Record and categorize financial transactions accurately.
  • Ensure accounting records align with NARPM Chart of Accounts guidelines.
  • Keep financial records organized and up to date.

Accounts Payable & Vendor Management

  • Process vendor invoices and accounts payable transactions.
  • Monitor payment schedules and outstanding bills.
  • Prevent duplicate payments and billing errors.
  • Coordinate with vendors regarding payment inquiries.

Property Management Accounting

  • Calculate monthly management fees.

  • Prepare owner draws accurately and on time.

  • Reconcile Buildium and QuickBooks Online data.

  • Assist with:

    • Owner statements
    • Trust account management (when applicable)

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly financial reports and summaries.
  • Support leadership with financial reporting requests.
  • Maintain supporting schedules and documentation.
  • Deliver reports accurately and on schedule.

Process Improvement

  • Improve bookkeeping workflows and accounting processes.
  • Maintain consistency between Buildium and QuickBooks Online.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Assist in documenting accounting procedures and best practices.

Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience.

  • Experience in:

    • Property management
    • Real estate bookkeeping
  • Hands-on experience with:

    • Buildium
    • QuickBooks Online
  • Strong understanding of:

    • Bank reconciliations
    • Bookkeeping principles
  • Experience managing multiple accounts and entities.
