Description

ROLE SUMMARY

As a Civil Design Engineer II / III, you’ll help deliver civil and land development designs for utility-scale renewable energy projects that support a cleaner, more resilient energy future.

In this role, you’ll apply civil engineering judgment, technical curiosity, and a collaborative mindset to support high-quality project execution from early design through final deliverables. You’ll contribute to practical, buildable solutions across renewable energy projects while working with a mission-driven team that values ownership, craftsmanship, continuous improvement, and meaningful impact. Candidates may be considered at either the Engineer II or Engineer III level depending on experience, technical depth, independence, and demonstrated ability to lead scope.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

ENGINEERING & TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Across both levels, this role may include:

  • Create civil engineering plans, details, calculations, and documentation for renewable energy and land development projects.
  • Support site design, grading, drainage, stormwater management, erosion control, access roads, and related civil design scope.
  • Apply civil engineering principles, standards, procedures, and criteria to develop practical and constructible design solutions.
  • Prepare project documentation, including drawings, reports, technical studies, specifications, and supporting calculations.
  • Coordinate design work with internal project teams, including civil, structural, electrical, project management, and other disciplines.
  • Review site constraints, permitting requirements, jurisdictional standards, and project-specific criteria.
  • Identify design issues, project risks, and opportunities to improve quality, constructability, or efficiency.
  • Support project execution in alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
  • Perform essential duties, including meeting deliverables and deadlines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or directed.

QUALITY & COLLABORATION

Across both levels, this role may include:

  • Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, jurisdictional, and client-specific standards, practices, and codes.

  • Participate in project meetings and communicate engineering work clearly to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Coordinate with clients, project managers, permitting authorities, and external partners as appropriate for the assigned level.

  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and technical staff to deliver accurate and complete project work.

  • Contribute to a team culture rooted in accountability, curiosity, quality, and shared commitment to Revamp’s clean energy mission.

LEVEL DISTINCTIONS

ENGINEER II

  • An Engineer II is typically building toward greater independent ownership. This person has a strong technical foundation and can complete defined engineering assignments with moderate guidance from more senior engineers.

  • At the Engineer II level, this role is expected to:

  • Work under the guidance of more senior staff while developing independent engineering judgment.

  • Own discrete portions of project scope, such as calculations, plan sheets, technical studies, or documentation packages.

  • Apply standard engineering methods and criteria to solve defined design problems.

  • Support civil design work for small projects or portions of larger, more complex projects.

  • Collaboratively determine adaptations in methods for nonroutine aspects of assignments.

  • Manage time efficiently across multiple tasks or projects.

  • Coordinate with project managers and internal teams on exp…
