Job Summary
Compensation Analyst II – Sales Compensation
The Compensation Analyst II is responsible for administering sales commission and incentive compensation programs, ensuring accurate calculations, reconciliations, and timely payments through payroll. This role requires advanced Excel skills, strong analytical abilities, and a high level of attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Process monthly commissions, incentives, and bonus payments through payroll.
Audit and validate commission calculations, earnings statements, and payout files.
Reconcile compensation data across payroll, compensation, and financial systems.
Prepare reports, accruals, and compensation analyses for Finance and HR.
Identify discrepancies and resolve compensation-related issues.
Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Partner with Sales, Payroll, HR, and Finance teams on compensation administration.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, HR, or subsequent work experience
3+ years of experience in sales compensation, commissions, payroll, or compensation analysis.
Experience processing commissions and incentive compensation required.
Experience with compensation platforms (Xactly, CaptivateIQ, Varicent, Spiff, etc.) preferred.
Key Skills
Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Power Query)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Experience working with large data sets
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to handle confidential information
Preferred
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
Experience with payroll processing and financial reconciliations
Compensation system implementation or optimization experience

Pay Rate
$66,500 - $79,000 SalaryFinal pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
