Position Summary

The Consultant willbuild product knowledge, consulting skills, andimplementationproficiencythrough training and development. Provideexpertiseoftax processes and enabling technologies and commit to help clients solve problems and create business value.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contribute as a team memberon client-facing tax relatedprojects

  • Consult with clients to understand their business requirements and map them to taxsolutions

  • Contribute as a team member using DMA’s structured projectmethodology

  • Manage projecttasksand successful completion of project deliverables andactivities

  • Perform Tax engine and ERP configuration to reflect client requirements; must be comfortable with at least oneERP

  • Provide Go Live and cutover activity support whenneeded

  • Contribute to project management by creating andmaintainingcomprehensive projectdocumentation

  • Translate requirements and design intoappropriate documentationformat

  • Assistmanaging status meetings including calls and weeklyminutes

  • Train tax users to effectively useapplications

  • Develop working relationships with clientsin order tocomplete assignments and communicate with clients whennecessary

  • Connect, engage, and build the broader relationships with DMA’s clients and alliancepartners

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Accounting, Mathematics, or related fieldrequired

  • 1-4yearsofexperienced in a related role

  • Working knowledge of at least one tax engine

  • Ability to think strategically, solve problems effectively,and persistently follow-throughonassignments

  • Excellent communication (verbal, written, and presentation) and interpersonal skills (outgoing and personable)

  • Ability to understand and conceptualize accounting and tax processes andprocedures

  • Experience with transaction tax systems a plus

  • Experiencewith Microsoft products, data analytics tools,and cloud-based business solutions

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position does not qualify for employment-based sponsorship.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or othersounds

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

  • Travel asrequired(approximately 30-40%)
