Description:
- Seeking a skilled Cyber Security Engineer to support modernization initiatives within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) health portfolio.
- Role involves cybersecurity engineering, risk management, and security modernization for enterprise healthcare systems supporting Veteran healthcare operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience in federal, cloud, healthcare, or regulated environments.
- Experience securing AWS environments, including IAM, encryption, logging, and vulnerability management.
- Hands-on experience with AWS security services (e.g., Security Hub, GuardDuty).
- Familiarity with RMF, ATO, continuous monitoring, and federal compliance activities.
- Knowledge of NIST RMF, NIST SP 800-53 controls, FISMA, and Zero Trust.
- Strong communication, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
