Focus of the role:
We are looking for a Data Engineer who is passionate about building modern data platforms and helping organisations unlock the value of their data. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing and optimising data solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Azure technologies, enabling our clients to make better decisions and drive meaningful business outcomes.
Working as part of BCN Group’s Data & AI practice, you will be responsible for designing and delivering scalable, robust, and business-focused data engineering solutions across a variety of client projects. Combining strong technical expertise with a consultative approach, you will work closely with client stakeholders to understand their challenges, gather requirements, shape solution designs, and provide trusted guidance throughout the delivery lifecycle. You will utilise modern technologies including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks and Azure SQL, designing data architectures that support analytics, reporting, AI and machine learning initiatives.

Responsibilities:
You will take ownership of the design, development and delivery of data engineering solutions, working closely with clients, project teams and technical specialists to ensure successful project outcomes and deliver measurable business value.
The role will have a strong focus on designing and building modern ETL and ELT pipelines, implementing scalable data models and developing high-performing data platforms within Microsoft Fabric and Azure. You will be responsible for data ingestion, transformation and orchestration processes, ensuring solutions are reliable, secure, maintainable and aligned to client requirements.
You will collaborate closely with Power BI developers, AI specialists and wider delivery teams to create data platforms that support both analytical and operational business needs. This includes designing semantic models, implementing medallion architecture patterns, supporting data…
