Fractional CEO — Lead a Portfolio of Small Business Owner (Remote, W-2, $182K + OTE)

Location: Remote (Must reside in AZ, CO, FL, GA, IL, MD, MI, NC, NJ, NY, PA, TX, VA, or WA)

Compensation: $110,000 Base Salary + Performance Compensation | $182,000+ On-Target Earnings

HTM is hiring a Fractional CEO to lead a portfolio of small and mid-sized law firms — acting as the outsourced CEO, COO, or President these owners can’t otherwise afford. This is a full-time, W-2 executive role, not a consulting engagement: you’ll be accountable for the business results of every firm in your portfolio, the same way you would be as an in-house CEO, GM, President, or EOS Integrator.

We provide the client portfolio. You provide the executive leadership — no business development, no sales, no growing your own book of business.

What You’ll Do

As Fractional CEO, you’ll partner directly with law firm owners to:

  • Build and execute business growth strategies
  • Improve profitability and cash flow
  • Develop organizational structure and leadership teams
  • Coach owners through strategic business decisions
  • Improve operational execution and accountability
  • Help owners transition from working in the business to leading it

This is hands-on executive leadership — not a reports-and-walk-away advisory role. You’ll help owners implement change, measure results, and stay accountable until their businesses improve.

Who This Role Is For

You’ve been accountable for the results of a business — not just advised on them — as a CEO, President, GM, COO, Operations Executive, or EOS Integrator of a company roughly $500K–$50M in annual revenue.

You should have:

  • 10+ years of executive leadership experience
  • Direct, hands-on experience working with owners of small to mid-sized businesses — you understand the pace, challenges, and decision-making of entrepreneurial companies
  • Ownership of business results (P&L, operations, or both) for a company in the $500K–$50M+ range
  • Proven success improving profitability, cash flow, and overall business performance
  • Experience building teams, systems, and organizational accountability
  • Strong executive coaching and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple client relationships simultaneously

Experience as a Fractional CEO, virtual CEO, or multi-client executive advisor is a plus but not required.
