Job Description

Technology Strategy and Transformation

  • Define and execute a multi-year technology roadmap that systematically modernizes PracticeMatch’s legacy ColdFusion and SQL Server platform, prioritizing migrations and rewrites based on business value, risk, and continuity.
  • Partner with product and business leadership to align engineering priorities with PracticeMatch’s competitive strategy and customer outcomes.
  • Establish a pragmatic, phased approach to system transformation — maintaining product stability and customer commitments while executing toward a modern, maintainable architecture.
  • Evaluate and recommend modern technology choices (languages, frameworks, cloud infrastructure, data platforms) that position PracticeMatch for long-term scalability.
  • Champion the responsible adoption of agentic AI across the engineering lifecycle — from planning, design, and development through testing, deployment, and production operations — ensuring engineers build the review discipline and repository context that make AI-assisted work reliable.

Engineering Leadership and Team Development

  • Lead, manage, and develop the PracticeMatch engineering team, including direct and indirect reports across software engineering and QA functions.
  • Build and sustain a culture of engineering excellence: clear standards for code quality, security, documentation, peer review, and test automation.
  • Attract, recruit, and retain strong engineering talent; build career paths and development plans that grow engineers at every level.
