Description

About the company

Kantiv is a technology company revolutionizing the way professionals in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry manage marketing and revenue operations. Our AI-powered software streamlines workflows, making it easier for teams to collaborate, innovate, and succeed.

We're building a world-class engineering organization to solve some of the most challenging AI and data problems in the industry. Hiring exceptional people is one of the biggest competitive advantages we have—and we're looking for someone who shares that belief.

About the role

We're looking for an HR Generalist with a strong background in technical recruiting to help us build and scale our engineering organization in India.

This is a recruiting-first role. You'll partner directly with engineering leadership to identify, attract, and hire exceptional software engineers, AI engineers, product managers, and technical leaders who will shape the future of Kantiv.

Beyond recruiting, you'll help build the people foundation that enables our engineering team to do their best work—from onboarding and employee experience to HR operations and manager support.

We're looking for someone who enjoys finding exceptional talent, building lasting relationships, and creating systems that scale as the company grows.

What you'll do

Technical Recruiting

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for software engineering, AI/ML, product, platform, DevOps, QA, and other technical roles.

  • Partner closely with engineering managers and leadership to understand hiring priorities, define ideal candidate profiles, and develop effective hiring strategies.

  • Build proactive sourcing pipelines through LinkedIn, GitHub, referrals, recruiting communities, and other creative channels.

  • Screen candidates for technical capability, communication skills, growth potential, and cultural alignment.

  • Coordinate interviews, manage candidate communications, and deliver an outstanding candidate experience from first conversation through offer acceptance.

  • Continuously improve hiring velocity, quality, and recruiting processes through data and experimentation.

People Operations

  • Manage onboarding to ensure every new hire has an exceptional first-day experience.

  • Support employee engagement initiatives and help create a high-performance engineering culture.

  • Partner with managers on performance conversations, employee development, and day-to-day people matters.

  • Maintain HR documentation, employee records, and ensure compliance with Indian employment regulations.

  • Help improve HR processes, policies, and operational workflows as the company scales.

Building the Engineering Organization

  • Partner with leadership to continuously raise the hiring bar.

  • Develop structured interview processes, scorecards, and recruiting playbooks.

  • Strengthen our employer brand within India's engineering community.

  • Build long-term talent pipelines for future hiring needs.

  • Use recruiting metrics and hiring insights to improve decision-making and forecast hiring capacity.

What You'll Bring

  • 4–8 years of experience in HR with significant experience recruiting technical talent.

  • A proven track record of successfully hiring software engineers and other technical professionals.

  • Strong sourcing skills and the ability to identify exceptional candidates before they begin actively looking.

  • Experience working closely with engineering leaders and understanding technical hiring requirements.

  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple hiring processes simultaneously.

  • Knowledge of Indian labor laws and HR best practices.

  • Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruiting platforms.

Experience we'd be particularly excited about

  • Experience recruiting for AI, machine learning, backend, frontend, platform, infrastructure, or data engineering roles.

  • Experience working at a high-growth startup or scaling engineering organizations.

  • Experience building recruiting processes from the ground up.

  • A strong network within India's engineering community.

  • Experience using AI tools to improve recruiting efficiency, sourcing, scheduling, and candidate engagement.

  • A passion for building high-performing teams and exceptional candidate experiences.

What to expect

We conduct a rigorous interview process based on integrity, talent, and drive. We trust our teammates from day one and move quickly to evaluate your fit for the role. The entire interview process typically takes approximately two weeks.

Here's what to expect:

  • 30-minute introductory conversation to learn about your background and tell you more about Kantiv.

  • 45-minute recruiting case study focused on sourcing strategy and hiring execution for a technical role.

  • 60-minute deep dive into previous hiring successes, recruiting metrics, and people operations experience.

  • 45-minute interview with engineering leadership focused on technical recruiting, stakeholder management, and hiring philosophy.

  • 30-minute culture interview.
