Role Overview
The IT Cyber Defense Analyst will work in a remote environment, triaging security incidents, identifying enhancements to rule sets, and collaborating with business units to prioritize vulnerability remediation. The role requires strong oral and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
What You Will Do
The IT Cyber Defense Analyst will be responsible for triaging security incidents, identifying enhancements to rule sets, coordinating with SOC manager to escalate security issues, and collaborating with business units to prioritize vulnerability remediation.

The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in Security Operation Center (SOC), Cyber Security, and Information Security, with experience in Azure, EDR, XDR, SOAR, SIEM Tools, and other security technologies. The candidate should also have strong oral and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in Security Operation Center (SOC), Cyber Security, and Information Security
- Experience with Windows and Linux, server and application hardening process
- Experience supporting one or more information security technologies
- Mandatory experience in Azure, EDR, XDR, SOAR, SIEM Tools, Palo Alto, Cisco, and other security technologies
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP stack & familiarity with common protocols
- Familiarity with network and application threats
- Working knowledge of compliance, and regulatory requirements
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools
- Scripting experience with Bash, PowerShell, or Python
- Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK Framework and/or Cyber Kill Chain
- InfoSec certification (CISSP, CompTIA Security+, GIAC Security Essentials, & CEH)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
