About the Role

We’re seeking a Strategic Finance Senior Associate to join Chime’s Growth & Marketing Finance team. This role partners closely with cross-functional leaders across Marketing, Growth, Product, and Data to manage marketing budget, evaluate growth initiatives, measure performance, and inform strategic investment decisions. Our team’s mandate is to bring rigorous, data-driven insights to help Chime scale efficiently and drive sustainable growth.

As a thought partner to the business, you will play a critical role in shaping how Chime evaluates and prioritizes growth opportunities—from new acquisition strategies to new growth partnerships. You will manage a dynamic budget to optimize growth and ROI, build organized trackers and analytical frameworks, and translate performance data into clear recommendations that influence how and where we invest.

We’re looking for someone who is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and a clear, confident communicator with a strong bias toward action. You excel at building strong cross-functional partnerships, know how to balance precision with speed, and will play a key role in improving the accuracy and reliability of our growth and marketing forecasts over time.

The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $119,000.00 and up to $165,000.00. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

In this role, you can expect to

  • Partner with Finance, Marketing, and Product leadership to support growth strategy discussions, define success metrics, and measure the impact of growth initiatives across the user lifecycle
  • Develop, deliver, and maintain clear, insightful reporting that helps business leaders track progress vs expectations
  • Support and continuously improve forecasting processes, systems, and tooling to better reflect growth dynamics, streamline operations, and enhance scalability and automation
  • Lead cohort-based analyses and deep dives by extracting, visualizing, and synthesizing data to identify performance trends, key drivers, and areas of opportunity across acquisition and engagement
  • Contribute to earnings preparation and executive narratives related to user growth, translating complex analyses into clear insights and externally facing performance stories
  • Leverage automation and emerging AI capabilities to enhance reporting, streamline workflows, and improve scalability

To thrive in this role, you have

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in Strategic Finance, investment banking, private equity, consulting, venture capital or a related field, ideally within a high-growth technology environment
  • Exceptional skills with building scalable, efficient, and intuitive financial models; prior experience with Looker and SQL a plus
  • Demonstrated prior experience with cohort data and ROI analysis; familiarity with marketing ecosystem, acquisition channels, and channel KPIs a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of synthesizing complex findings into concise and actionable insights
  • High attention to detail and a strong ownership mindset, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work and influence cross-functionally with minimal guidance; you will communicate with cross-functional partners and senior leadership on a weekly basis
