Role Overview

The selected candidate will work in a shipboard environment, collaborating with OEMs, marine engineers, and industrial assistance to oversee the installation and commissioning of network-based CCTV security systems. The role requires expertise in design and installation of shipboard network-based CCTV systems, with a focus on compliance with ABS and USCG regulations.

What You Will Do

The Field Technician/Engineer will support CCTV System design, development, and Proof of concepts, and will be responsible for installing and/or overseeing the installation of applicable equipment, performing onsite testing, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
  • 5 years' experience as a field engineer supporting technical programs
  • Experience in installing, modifying, or maintaining shipboard CCTV systems and/or networks
  • Experience in IP Related Services: TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, PPP, and SIP
  • Working knowledge of CAT5-5E, CAT6, and Fiber Optic cable
  • Familiar with Windows and/or Unix type of Operating Systems
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, bend, crouch or crawl, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more
