Role Overview
HighLevel is a global, remote-first organization that operates as a platform for businesses to build, automate, and scale. The company is looking for a Software Development Engineer III (Backend) to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
What You Will Do
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs, building high-performance, reliable microservices, and participating in technical design discussions and contributing to system architecture.

Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in backend software development
- Strong experience with TypeScript and Node.js
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including schema design and query optimization
- Knowledge of caching strategies, asynchronous processing, and message queues
- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized applications
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern software development practices
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Sentry, ELK, or similar
