Description:
- Kalepa is building AI systems for the insurance industry, focusing on decision-making and automation.
- The Staff Backend Engineer will work on the Submission Processing team, designing systems and making architectural decisions for LLM-based systems that process large amounts of unstructured data.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and problem-solving.
- Experience with LLMs in production and deploying them at scale.
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with AWS, serverless technologies, and relational databases (ideally PostgreSQL).
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to project ownership.
- Bonus: experience with document pipelines and processing large data sets.
