Assured is on a mission to modernize insurance. Claims processing (i.e. should we pay this claim?), while often overlooked, is the foundation of the entire industry. It’s currently highly manual, involving phone calls, faxes, and gut instinct, costing tens of billions of dollars a year. We can do better.

At Assured, we provide large insurers with the software solutions they need to win in a modern, technology-driven world. From self-service claim-filing software to backend fraud detection, we’re the engine that powers claims processing for some of the largest insurers in the world.

As a Staff Data Analyst, you’ll partner with teams across the organization to transform data into meaningful insights that drive smarter decisions. You’ll help leaders understand business performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and measure the impact of strategic initiatives.

The best analysts don’t just report what happened – they help teams understand why it happened and what to do next. That’s the kind of impact we’re looking for in this role.

Some of the Problems You’ll Solve:

🧪 Which initiatives create the greatest impact? Design and analyze experiments, pilots, and performance evaluations that separate signal from noise and support confident decision-making.

📈 How healthy is the business? Build dashboards and reporting that provide leaders with visibility into operational performance, customer outcomes, and organizational health.

🔍 What trends should we be paying attention to? Analyze data across multiple sources to identify patterns, emerging opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement.

👥 What behaviors drive successful outcomes? Use segmentation, cohort analysis, and behavioral data to understand customers, users, or operational processes and identify opportunities to improve results.

🤝 How can data guide better decisions? Partner with stakeholders across departments to answer high-impact business questions, evaluate tradeoffs, and provide analytical recommendations.

🎯 What should we be measuring that we aren’t today? Improve data quality, instrumentation, and reporting by identifying gaps in existing data collection and helping teams capture the information needed to make informed decisions.
