Sterile Processing Project Specialist - Travel

Role Overview

Direct and lead all aspects of the operational needs of the sterile processing department, coordinate tasks, assist in staff training and development, and serve as a liaison between administration and hospital departments.

What You Will Do

Prioritize and direct functions, interpret policies, perform duties of Central Supply technician, prepare work schedules, assign personnel, evaluate work performance, and maintain established departmental policies and standards.

Requires 3-5 years of experience in Central Sterile operations unit or similar work, CRCST and CHL certification, and ability to communicate effectively and work under stressful conditions.

Requirements

• Equivalent experience to a High School Diploma or GED
• 3 to 5 years of dynamically responsible experience in Central Sterile operations unit or similar work
• CRCST and CHL or any other applicable sterile processing certification
• Good work ethic, strong drive and initiative for quality and customer service
• Ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations with all levels in the organization
• Excellent problem-solving skills both one-on-one and in group situations
• Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadership; experience managing and training hourly staff
• Ability to function appropriately under stressful conditions
• Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software such as MS Office
