As a Business Development Representative (BDR)- Public Sector, your role is to find and create new sales opportunities, mainly within the Public Sector, via prospecting and conducting cold outreach. You’llidentify organizations’ current and future IT challenges to help match AvePoint products and support services to those needs. If you’re driven and eager to hit the ground running with your sales career, as well as learn about the corporate landscape, then we want to hear from you!

Key responsibilities:

  • Researching, identifying, and qualifying potential customer organizations and prospects with a primary (but not limited) focus on the Public Sector
  • Conducting outbound prospecting efforts, including cold calls, to drive new business opportunities and sales activities
  • Positioning AvePoint effectively to facilitate a high conversion of leads to qualified pipeline opportunities by executing and communicating effective product and solution-based messaging
  • Scheduling and coordinating appointments with potential customers to support the sales pipeline and ensure effective follow-ups
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with end customers in the Public Sector to foster long-term engagement
  • Working with sales account executives and other departments to help prospect their territories and streamline operations
  • Recording accurate customer data into our CRM system

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification through relevant vocational training (“abgeschlossene Berufsbildung im kaufmännischen oder technischen Bereich”)
  • Prior cold calling experience or first sales experience, preferably in IT sales within the public sector
  • Fluent in both German and English
  • An ability to understand technical concepts and convey them to customers
  • Excellent communication and listening skills and ability to engage in conversations comfortably
  • A positive attitude
  • Plenty of initiative and a strong sense of ownership
  • A persuasive manner
  • Impeccable organizational and time management skills
  • The ability to think on your feet
